Mission

Tip Top Childcare Limited provides care and early education to every child, tailored to their individual needs across our three settings located in Willenhall, Moxley and Bilston. Children’s educational needs and interests are catered for during our enriching activities, in our safe and homely environments. Our staff are trained to support you and your child through their Early Years Education supporting learning and development both at nursery and at home.

Tip Top strives to develop good relationships with parents, families and professionals, as we believe that in order to provide the best care and education, and for each child to develop and flourish to their maximum potential. Positive, professional relationships and role models are key. We provide care and education in a nurturing, caring environment, where the child learns through play and exploration, and their needs are at the heart of everything that we do. We aim to support children to grow and develop into happy, confident, independent school ready individuals.

Alongside promoting children's early education, we also support good health and nutrition, with freshly cooked healthy meals each day, a focus on oral hygiene, and supporting the children and our families to explore healthy foods in new and fun ways. Children receive a healthy balanced diet across all three settings. Children (depending on session timings) will receive breakfast, mid morning snack, hot cooked lunch, mid afternoon snack and a light tea. Snack consists of fruits, vegetables, sometimes a light carbohydrate and an option of milk or water. We cater to dietary requirements for allergies and intolerances, as well as cultural preferences, please inform the nursery of these on enrollment.

Each day we provide opportunities for self directed learning and exploring, Where children can explore each area within the room and access the equipment within the low baskets. The key person for the child is on hand to extend the child’s learning. Each session there will be a planned activity, focusing on developing your childs next steps.

We support your children to develop their independence, further their social skills and encourage number and phonics awareness ready for their journey to school.

Toddler Room

This large space with its own bathroom and hand wash facilities is situated upstairs within the nursery.

This light and spacious room is set up to encourage toddlers to explore as they require, nurture their natural curiosity and to support the development of new skills. The child’s key person is on hand to extend the child’s learning and a planned activity for all to engage for example baking is planned for each session which is called our adult led activity for all to engage should the child wish. Opportunities for outdoor play are daily. We provide opportunities throughout the nursery day for children to mix together with different age group children within the nursery. This is important for children’s all round development.

15 hours for working parents and the terrific for twos funding can be used in this room (subject to eligibility criteria being met), and private spaces are also available, or a combination of both funding and private.

Baby Room

This room is well equipped, with a carpeted play area for Babies and Toddlers to enable them to move around in comfort. It has its own changing area and kitchette where bottles and snacks can be prepared fresh and when the child requires. There are a variety of safe, educational toys and resources available for your baby to safely explore and develop their skills. Babies are assigned a key person to work closely with them and their family so wishes and requirements can be met. Individual planned experiences for babies are planned on daily basis.

9 month funding is available for working parents who meet the criteria in this room as well as private spaces.

Garden

Our garden has two levels. “Top Garden” has a textured rubber mulch surface and a patch of artificial grass to allow for exploration in all weather conditions, whilst being cushioned for safer play. There is an outdoor sheltered sandpit and a beautiful mud kitchen for children to explore their imagination in nature.

“Bottom garden” is a slabbed area with half sheltered under a canopy, the perfect place for outdoor mark making, sand and water play, bike and scooter riding and so much more, all whilst having the option to shelter from damp weather.

Our children access the garden in all weather conditions, as long as it is safe to do so, as per the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. We encourage parents to provide all in one puddle suits and wellies for the cold and damp weather, and as a sun safe company, we apply spf 50 when the uv is 4 and above, avoid peak heat and UV, and encourage sun hats during the hot summer months.
